Sherling Gold by Leiland Dale

4 out of 5 Fallen Angels
Sterling Gold is the second book in the Unbreakable Bonds series.

Sterling Gold loves his older brother Blythe. He has always been there for him; he puts Sterling before him in every way and has always done everything in his power to make Sterling happy. But Sterling knows that his love for Blythe has crossed the boundaries of brotherly love into something forbidden by society. In an effort to distance himself from Blythe and his inappropriate feelings he has even transferred universities, moved to another state, and done everything he can think of to move beyond these inappropriate feelings.

Blythe Gold loves his little brother Sterling. He has known for a long time that there is only one man that he loves...and that man is Sterling. But he also knows that they can never be together and has hidden the depth of his love. Until one night of shared passion with the Grey brothers shows Blythe that his feelings may be returned and a whole realm of possibilities opens before him. But, only if he can be brave enough to cross the boundaries keeping him from the man he loves.

In Sterling Gold we get a more in-depth picture of Blythe and Sterling Gold, they are the friends of the Grey brothers found in the previous book Brothers Without Borders. Sterling Gold is a bit less angst ridden than Brothers Without Borders and while very similar in nature still managed to hold my attention. This is a sweet little story about how love crosses boundaries and how sometimes you just have to let love lead you where it will, even if it's forbidden. While both Blythe and Sterling were darlings they didn't garner my affection the way that Avery and Hunter had previously and that detracted from my enjoyment of the story. I hope that we will be granted a third book in this series to see where the four lovers are in a few years. I hope that the plans discussed at the ending will be carried out and maybe the two sets of brothers can find happiness.

Serendipity by Mallory Path

Review Here

For a short erotic tale, Serendipity was a great read I really enjoyed. Everyone dreams of getting a night with their favorite star—I know I do! Serendipity is a story most all of us can relate to as well as get lost in. I liked how the author set the scene at the coffee shop. It was done so well you could easily see this happening in real life.

My inner romantic would of course have preferred a happily ever after, but in truth probably wouldn’t have believed it. So I was content with how this story ended, leaving room for the readers imagination to continue the story after the last page or for a sequel if the author chooses to visit Jake and Russ in the future. I know I’d be right there.

Jaynell's Wolf by Amber Kell

Review Here

“Wow” is the first word that comes to mind after reading Jaynell’s Wolf by Amber Kell. I was thoroughly entranced. I have always enjoyed Amber Kell’s stories and Jaynell’s Wolf was no different. Amber Kell has a talented imagination and she knows how use it!

I enjoyed the instant attraction between Jay and Thomas. Jay’s slight fear of being bonded again to someone was evident but the love he feels for Thomas outweighs that fear. I liked that Thomas was willing to let Jay work though those fears without being demanding. Thomas easily won me over when he freely admitted that his mate was just as much Alpha as any wolf. Jay has an infectious personality that wins over not only Thomas’ Alpha and brother, but everyone around him. Except one. And that is a battle Jaynell has to fight with the help of his pack and new friends.

Jaynell’s Wolf is a fast-paced enjoyable read, a delightful mix of romance, humor and magic, with enough reality to make it all believable. I love the magic in Amber’s books. I am very much looking forward to reading more of A Wizard’s Touch series. If Jaynell’s Wolf is anything to go by, the whole series promises to be extremely entertaining. And if the next one is about the two I hope it is, then it should prove to be just as good or even better than Jaynell’s Wolf. This is definitely one of those series where you can be sucked into the lives and loves of all the characters easily.

Rowena's Ghostly Menage by Berengaria Brown

3.5 out of 5 Cherries

An unexpectedly hot and sweet paranormal read.

This was a nice quick read. I liked Rowena and Nate right off. They were very compatible and basically burned up the pages. I was curious as to why Jabez Winton was hanging around a storage warehouse. Maybe it has to do with being around his belongs? I'm not sure, Ms Brown didn't really explain it. Her take on spirits being able to absorb sexual energy is pretty cool. I've never read this take on it before and it was a rather refreshing take on ghosts drawing power to manifest. Yet the thought of a voyeur ghost is slightly un-nerving.

I did notice a few minor typos, but nothing that jolted me out of the story. On the whole though, Ms. Brown writes a great story that had me reading straight through. This is a great book to curl up with and spend a quiet afternoon.

With great characters, a good plot, hot sex, and a witty ghost this is a great short story and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Brown.

Say it Again by Jasmine Black

5 out of 5 Star
Wade is a hunk of a fire fighter. He just came out of the closet, and now he is on the annual fire fighter auction block. What woman will bid for him now?! How embarrassing. Jared bid on him.

Jared is an enigmatic businessman. Does he want a one-night stand? Does he want a relationship? Was he just keeping Wade from an embarrassing situation?

This is an m/m book. It has raw, animalistic lust. It is not for the faint of heart! It may be short, but it is packed with heat!
